Refund Policy

At absolute heating and cooling inc, we are committed to providing high-quality HVAC services to all of our customers. Our goal is to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the services you receive. To achieve this, we have implemented the following Refund Policy, which is in compliance with the applicable laws in Ontario and Canada.

1. Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds for HVAC services are only applicable under specific circumstances as outlined below. Our services are provided as a product through our eCommerce platform, and once the service has been rendered, it is considered non-refundable, unless the service does not meet the agreed-upon terms or is not performed as outlined in the service agreement.

2. Conditions for a Refund

Refunds may be issued under the following conditions:

  • Service Cancellation: If you cancel the service before the work has been started, you may be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of booking the service.
  • Defective or Incomplete Work: If the work performed by our technicians is defective, incomplete, or not in accordance with the terms agreed upon, you may request a refund. We will first offer to correct the issue, and if we are unable to resolve the issue to your satisfaction, a full refund may be provided.
  • Non-Compliance with Agreement: If our services fail to meet the expectations set out in the signed service agreement, a refund may be issued after an assessment.

3. Refund Requests Process

If you wish to request a refund, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of service completion or the agreed-upon service date.
  2. Provide a detailed description of the issue or reason for the refund request.
  3. Submit any relevant supporting documentation, including invoices, receipts, and photographs of the work performed.
  4. Allow our customer service team up to 10 business days to review and process your request.

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. If the payment was made by credit card, it may take up to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

4. Exclusions

The following are not eligible for a refund:

  • Change of Mind: Once the service is performed, we cannot issue a refund simply because you change your mind about the service.
  • Customer Negligence: If a refund request is due to customer neglect (e.g., failure to maintain equipment, improper usage, or alterations made by the customer or a third party), no refund will be issued.
  • Damage Post-Service: We are not liable for any damage or issues that arise after the service has been completed, unless they are directly caused by the work performed by our technicians.

5. Consumer Protection Laws

In accordance with Ontario's Consumer Protection Act and the Canadian Competition Act, we respect all consumer rights related to product and service refunds. If you feel your rights have been violated, you may contact the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services or the Canadian Competition Bureau for assistance.

6. No Loss Refunds

If a refund is granted under the applicable conditions, we will aim to ensure that you receive a full refund, including taxes and any applicable fees, without any financial loss. However, it is important to note that the cost of travel, consultation fees, or other non-refundable charges may apply, depending on the service agreement.
